PRINCE2 as a foundation for good project management
All consultants with Immenso Consult have recently been certified in PRINCE2
We see more and more enterprises requesting project management competences and preferably based on a PRINCE2 certification. Accordingly, we consider certification of our employees a natural part of the development of our enterprise so that we adapt to our customers' demands.
The certification has subsequently resulted in our model for project management being revised and updated, so that PRINCE2 has become the ground structure. This means that we achieve a number of benefits from the cooperation with our customers:
• The enterprise and consultants work together according to the same model
• Project participants have better perspective of the project progress
• We all speak the same ”language”
• Improved change management with respect to project costs and benefits thereof
• Projects can easily be transferred to new project manager.
PRINCE2 was developed in 1989 in Great Britain and since then has continued to increase its number of supporters. It is presently to be considered the most applied project management method across Europe.

Since its introduction, the method has been tested and recognised as approach within project management and is accordingly a good basis for management of all types of projects. The need for a project being carried through may be triggered by an overall programme plan, other projects are individual or a part of another project - PRINCE2 is applicable irrespective of demand. PRINCE2 adds a number of benefits to the projects:
• Clearly defined division of responsibilities of the project from beginning to end
• Management of the project is only involved in connection with decisions, deviations and approvals
• Project deviations are managed and controlled so as to be detected in time
• The quality of the project is agreed from the beginning and is currently controlled until the end of the project
• Plan and business case are currently updated in accordance with the progress of the project.
PRINCE2 is fully scalable. Accordingly, the use of the method can be limited, if the size of the project does not require it, and reversely, the method can be expanded and thereby applied for management of very large projects.
